San Luis Obispo’s Cider Trail
Known for its thriving wine country, San Luis Obispo has lately been turning heads in California’s craft beer and cider worlds—with nods in outlets like Draft Magazine, Thrillist, and local favorites. As breweries multiply across SLO County, local cideries are joining the party, offering crisp, creative alternatives to wine and beer.
If you haven’t hopped on the cider train yet, trust me—you’ll want to. Not all ciders are saccharine or one-note. They run the gamut: dry, fruit-forward, barrel-aged, hopped, spiced—so many ways to discover something unexpected.
We’re lucky: SLO County has a beautiful variety of cideries. Here are a few favorites worth visiting now. (Heads up: Double-check hours and availability before you go!)
Cideries to Visit in SLO Region

SLO Cider Co. — 3419 Roberto Ct Ste C, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

Shindig Cider — 3055 Duncan Rd, Ste D, San Luis Obispo
Dry, crisp, and all about good vibes. Shindig’s small-batch ciders are made with love (and local apples) and served in a lively taproom with rotating food pop-ups, live music, and spontaneous gatherings. Try Hop Top, Jazz Hands, or Zing Thing when you stop by.
Two Broads Ciderworks — 3427 Roberto Ct #130, San Luis Obispo
Heritage apples, bold flavors, and an inclusive space where cider lovers gather. Two Broads is less about sweet sips and more about exploring dry, nuanced fermentations. Flights, bottle club perks, and local orchard stories are part of the deal.
