Downtown SLO is excited to welcome our community back to the Market. After more than a year of non-operation and reduced capacity as an essential market due to COVID-19, Downtown SLO is thrilled to announce that the Thursday Night Farmers’ Market has returned to full operations, taking over five blocks of Higuera street every Thursday beginning June 17 from 6-9 pm. In addition to the Certified Farmers Market section, which features 25-30 produce vendors each week, Market visitors can now expect to see the following types of vendors when they come Downtown on Thursday nights:
- Certified Farmers offering fresh local produce
- Food Artisans offering pre-sealed to-go food items/ingredients such as bread, pastries, salsa, and more.
- Craft/Home goods such as soap, salves, candles, and more.
- Hot/Cold food, including BBQ, Korean, Indian, tamales, donuts, and more.
- Entertainment, including market favorites like Lord of the Cello (electric cello), Derek Derek (acrobats and juggling), comedy acts, rock covers and more.
Vendors and Entertainment Market Map
In accordance with the state of California reopening guidelines, masks and social distancing will not be required at the Market.

David Limrite works primarily in graphite, charcoal, acrylic, and collage to create mysterious, dramatic, energetic, dark, and edgy mixed media figurative work. Lena Rushing’s work typically features a strong, unconventional female presence and relies heavily on symbolism.

Music is often often described in visual language: color, shade, structure, bright vs. dark, etc. The works presented for this concert are either inspired by imagery or meant to sculpt something new in the mind’s eye.
Composers featured on this program include Katahj Copley, Nicole Piunno and John Williams.

The Central Coast Cactus & Succulent Society will hold their annual show and sale at the Nipomo High School in Nipomo, CA on Saturday and Sunday, May 28 and 29, 2022 (Memorial Day Weekend). Nipomo High School is located at 525 N Thompson Ave. Hours for the show & sale are 10 am – 5 pm Saturday and 10 am – 4 pm on Sunday. The show features hundreds of cacti and succulents in 70 different classes. Admission to the show is free.
The sale portion of the show consists of a variety of dealers in rare and hard to find cacti and succulents and several specialty potters who bring an amazing variety of hand-made ceramic planters to the show. Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm, the Society holds an auction of show-quality plants that encourages lively bidding.

The concert will celebrate the vocal ensemble’s first single, an arrangement of Esperanza Spalding’s “Sunlight” by Director of Jazz Studies Arthur White. The single comes in anticipation of a new album by the Vocal Jazz Ensemble, which will feature special guests Kim Nazarian and Darmon Meader of the acclaimed New York Voices, in addition to Grammy Award-winning drummer Gregg Bissonette.

This event will take place from 1pm – 8pm on the SLO Brew Rock Main Stage and will feature a headlining set of music with DAMON CASTILLO BAND with support sets from Carbon City Lights, Resination and Shawn Clark Family Band.
100% of all ticket revenue will go directly to the SLO Food Bank to help provide nutritious and wholesome meals to neighbors in need. The prices are as follows:
