SLO County Arts

The San Luis Obispo County Arts Council, as the state-local partner of the California Arts Council, advances the visual, literary, and performing arts through programs that promote public access to the arts, arts in educational settings, local arts planning and collaboration, and opportunities for artists and art organizations. Programs include Art After Dark, monthly art walks on the First Friday of the month; Open Studios Art Tour, two weekends in October where artists and fine crafters open their studios to the public; and Poetry Out Loud, a countywide high-school poetry recitation competition.
