The Palm Theatre has been a part of the SLO community since March of 1988. In the summer of 2004, the owners installed 98 solar panels on its roof, making it the first movie theatre in the United States to be powered by solar energy. For those interested in seeing a film, current movie listings can be found online. Continuing down Chorro Street leads to the entrance of the San Luis Obispo Mission.
