Avila Beach Concerts at the Cove

Posted October 2, 2015

This past Sunday, my boyfriend and I enjoyed an evening of reggae music on the beach, listening to one of our favorite reggae bands, Rebelution.  Located at the Avila Beach Golf Resort, the backdrop for this venue doesn’t get much better if you ask me.  Throw in the amazing highlighter-pink sunset along with the super moon lunar eclipse we had that night, and it makes for a pretty epic end to the weekend.

Avila is one of my favorite places to see a concert in the SLO area.  The events are always well organized and they host an array of music genres year-round.  They have on-site parking, which typically costs $10 per car, and saves you from having to search for a parking spot in downtown Avila Beach.  Food and beverages are available for purchase inside the venue, so you’ll never go hungry…or thirsty.  A 24-ounce beer will run you around $12, with cocktails about the same price for a slightly smaller pour.  With several different food vendors, there is usually a good selection of fare to choose from.  Many of the shows are family-friendly, with cornhole and other lawn games available on the upper green for the kiddos, away from the hustle and bustle of the main crowd.

If you haven’t yet attended a concert at the Avila Beach Golf Resort, I highly suggest you do so.  You just can’t beat live music combined with a front-row view of the beach.  Add in food, drinks, and the high probability of seeing an amazing sunset and I suspect you’ll be one happy camper.

A couple of their upcoming shows include the Avila Beach Party (featuring Cash Cash, Tritonal, Party Favor, and Nick G) and the Backwoods Beach Party for the country music lovers (featuring Gary Allan, Jon Pardi, & Love and Theft).  For upcoming concerts and other events, be sure to follow Avila Beach Concerts at the Cove on Facebook.
