The SLO County Jazz Federation will present the Freddie Ravel Trio on Sunday, January 25th at 4 pm.
Central Coast native Freddie Ravel has built an impressive and varied musical career as an accomplished jazz pianist. He toured with Sergio Mendes and served for many years as pianist and musical director for both Al Jarreau and Earth, Wind & Fire. He has collaborated with artists as diverse as Prince, Santana, Madonna, and Sheryl Crow and his work can be heard on multiple film soundtracks, including “Evita.”
His trio will include Larry Antonino on bass and vocals and the Grammy winning Brazilian drummer Lucio Vieira.
