Ballet Theatre San Luis Obispo presents Coppélia, one of ballet’s most well-known and beloved stories.
The comic and heartwarming tale revolves around Coppélia, a life-sized doll created by the eccentric Dr. Coppélius. Franz, not realizing she is a doll, is taken by Coppélia’s beauty. Swanilda, betrothed to Franz, is jealous of his interest in Coppélia. When Swanilda and her friends sneak into Dr. Coppélius’ workshop and discover Coppélia is actually a doll, the fun begins!
