The kidnapping of Patty Hearst in 1974 was a story that transfixed the entire nation. Roger Rapoport was one of the primary journalists to cover Hearst’s kidnapping, as well as her subsequent trial for crimes committed alongside her kidnappers. In this work of historical fiction, the author explores alternative theories of the crime and delves into the complex psychology of many of the key actors in a drama that kept the country riveted.
