Wrap up the 15th anniversary celebration with a special afternoon dedicated to the artists behind the art! Join in on Saturday, October 4, for the first-ever Box Art Meet the Artist event.
This unique event will offer the community a chance to meet the artists in person and hear the stories behind their vibrant utility box designs. Artists with boxes located within the downtown boundary will be stationed at their artwork, ready to chat, answer questions, and share their creative process with the community.
Start your journey at the Mission Plaza Pergola across from the fountain, where you’ll find the event booth stocked with Box Art swag, goodies, and information. Artists whose boxes are located outside of downtown will be at the park, giving everyone a chance to connect with them in one central location.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of the program or discovering it for the first time, this event is a wonderful way to engage with local artists, explore the City’s Public Art, and celebrate 15 years of creativity in SLO.
