Celebrate International Women’s Day in Atascadero with a unique and enriching experience! We are excited to invite the entire community to join us in a special event that honors the remarkable contributions of women throughout history. Supported by the City of Atascadero and Visit Atascadero, the Atascadero Historical Society will be at City Hall, where attendees will be treated to a free tour. This tour is not just any tour; it’s a journey through time into the history of the Central Coast, highlighting pivotal roles and achievements of women in the region.
Pending favorable weather, the celebration will continue in the picturesque Sunken Gardens where we will gather for the first ever fireworks display on the central coast, a symbolic representation of the vibrancy and spark that women bring into our lives. It’s a moment to celebrate a woman in your life – a mother, a sister, a friend, or a mentor – and acknowledge the impact she has made. Everyone is welcome to celebrate.
