Join us for a diverting day in the dunes and end with a paired luncheon at The Spoon Trade. Experience a guided hike through the dunes, where we will share the unique history of the Dunites, a group of free thinkers, artists and poets who once called these sandy landscapes home. We will make our way to the Spoon Trade for a luncheon with Dunites Wine Co. wine after exploring the natural beauty of the nearby dunes.
We will meet at the Meadow Creek Trailhead (next to the parking lot of Fin’s Bar & Grill). From there, we will embark on a roughly 2 mile hike through the dunes. Please, plan accordingly in regards to weather and uneven terrain.
During the hike, we will cover a brief history of the Dunites and plan on highlighting Ella Young, one of the few women who lived amongst the dunes. Known as the “godmother of the Dunites”, Ella Young was a renowned poet, writer and lecturer.
We will continue to The Spoon Trade after our hike where we will enjoy a luncheon on the patio. Dunites Wine Co. wine will be paired with a delicious culinary treat from Chef Jacob and Brooke.
