Average Weather in San Luis Obispo
At just 233 feet above sea level, San Luis Obispo’s climate is warm and Mediterranean. Winters lean mild and summers are sunny, though our proximity to the Pacific Ocean can make mornings a little foggy. (Don’t worry–it tends to clear up around noon.) Rain is scarce and we haven’t seen measurable snowfall since the late 1800s, so leave your umbrella and boots at home.
Bottom line: we keep it mild. No icy winters or blistering summers–just sunshine, breezy days, and refreshing morning mists.
