Tucked along the downtown creek, Understory Plant Co. is a charming garden shop specializing in houseplants, plant styling, and accessories. An extension of owner Samantha’s plant design business, Happy Plant Co., a regular favorite at the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market every Thursday, Understory offers a lush, curated experience for plant lovers.

Located at 740 Higuera Street, the entrance can be found along the backside of the building by the creek. Visitors can also reach the shop by passing through Mission Mall and turning left. Just follow the greenery.
