The Irish Hills Natural Reserve offers approximately 10 miles of scenic trails open to the public. Hikers can explore several routes, including the popular Froom Creek Trail, which follows an old road up a canyon and rewards adventurers with stunning views of the Morros of San Luis Obispo.
Trailhead Directions: Exit Highway 101 at Madonna Road, then take DeVaul Ranch Road.
Or exit Highway 101 at Los Osos Valley Road, then follow Perfumo Canyon Road; the trailhead is about one mile ahead on the left.
Hike Details: Most trails in the Irish Hills are moderately challenging, with an average hike length of around 8 miles.
