Big Sur

Known for some of California’s most incredible views, Big Sur’s many off-roading trails are found north along California’s breathtaking coastline. A popular trail is the Big Sur Trail because it gives adventurers views of the ocean while experiencing the mountains along the coast. California’s recent landslides have caused road closures that are in effect until the highway is repaired, but visitors can use this Caltrans map to check road closures and locate open routes in the area.
