The Cal Poly Symphony will showcase student soloists who were winners of the symphony’s Solo Competition in September. The orchestra will also perform two contrasting American works to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence: George Walker’s “Lyric for Strings” and music from Aaron Copland’s “Rodeo,” including “Buckaroo Holiday” and “Hoe Down.”
