Cal Poly Student Opera Theatre Presents ‘Venus and Adonis’ and ‘In the Market for Love’

An operatic double bill showing that love can be found in the strangest of ways. The earliest known English opera, John Blow’s tragedy “Venus and Adonis,” will be paired with Jacques Offenbach’s witty one-act operetta “In the Market for Love.” Featuring singers, musicians, choreographers and directors representing all Cal Poly colleges. Fully staged and costumed with a small ensemble orchestra, and sung in English with supertitles.
