San Luis Obispo County History Day is a youth-centered educational program scheduled for February 20, 2027 at The History Center of San Luis Obispo County’s Carnegie Library Museum. The event will engage high school and college students from across the county in researching and interpreting the history of the American Revolution in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the United States. Participants will develop creative, research-based exhibits—such as posters, dioramas, videos, mobiles, and mixed-media displays—for potential public exhibition at the museum. By partnering with local school districts, the program will encourage student scholarship, foster historical inquiry, and provide a public platform for young people to share their research and creative interpretations with the community.
